The platform size of a mobile scissor lift depends on the base size, the machine's counterweight, and the length of the machine.
When the extended platform of a mobile scissor lift is extended, it forms a lever structure with the wheels as the fulcrum. For safety reasons, the extended platform is generally half the size of the full platform. This ensures that the user can safely operate the mobile scissor lift without exceeding the rated load.
To increase the size of the extended platform, you can add a counterweight. By adding an equal amount of counterweight to the other end of the mobile scissor lift, according to the principle of leverage, if the lever arm is the same, as long as the load exceeds the user's weight, the user's safety is guaranteed.
Adding outriggers is also an option. Standard self-propelled mobile scissor lifts do not have outriggers. However, some users require a 500kg load capacity for aerial work and require an extended platform. Adding additional outriggers is a good option. This can greatly increase the force-bearing area of the base of the mobile scissors lift, move the force fulcrum of the entire machine outward, extend the size of the lever arm, and protect the safety of the user.
