Installation Guidelines for Security
To ensure safe and stable installation, follow these steps:
1. Foundation & Floor
Concrete requirement:
Minimum thickness: 12–18 inches (300–450 mm) of reinforced concrete.
Compressive strength: 3,000–3,500 PSI (20–24 MPa) or higher.
Ensure the floor is level and free of cracks.
Do not install on asphalt, expansion joints, or weak slabs.
2. Positioning
Measure garage height: typically need 12 ft (3.6 m) clearance or more.
Leave adequate space around lift for doors to open and safe movement.
Align columns perfectly vertical before securing.
3. Anchoring
Use high-strength anchor bolts (usually 3/4" or M20 wedge anchors).
Drill into concrete with a rotary hammer (not impact drill).
Torque bolts to manufacturer specs (often 90–150 ft-lbs).
Never reuse old anchors.
4. Electrical & Hydraulic Setup
Power supply: typically 220V single-phase or 208–230V three-phase depending on model.
Ensure proper grounding.
Install hydraulic hoses carefully, avoiding kinks.
Fill with correct hydraulic oil (ISO 32 or 46, as specified).
5. Balancing & Synchronization
Level both columns.
Ensure cables/chains are tensioned equally for even lifting.
Test lift without vehicle first, raising/lowering several times.
6. Safety Checks
Verify safety locks engage at all heights.
Check hydraulic lines for leaks.
Confirm arms lock securely and swing freely.
Post load capacity signage near lift.
