What factors determine the load capacity of electric pallet jacks?

Oct 10, 2025

The load capacity of an electric pallet stacker is primarily affected by motor power, battery current, and mast structure. Lift height also affects the load capacity.
1. The motor of an electric pallet jack is generally powered by 12V or 24V. At rated power, the higher the voltage and the lower the current, the better the stability of the entire machine. The higher the motor power, the more powerful the hydraulic pump unit and the greater the load capacity.
2. As the energy source of the motor, the battery directly affects its power output. Choosing a battery with a low rated output power will result in low current and insufficient power, which will directly affect the load capacity of the electric pallet stacker.
3. The mast structure is the main structural component, providing support for the entire machine. Masts are generally made of two types: C-section steel and H-section steel. C-section steel is generally used for stackers with lower lift heights and smaller load capacities. H-section steel is generally used for electric stackers with higher lift heights and larger load capacities. Many people don't understand why the lifting height affects the load capacity of electric stackers. This is because stackers experience weight loss when the lift height exceeds 2 meters. For example, a stacker with a 1500kg load capacity will only carry 1200kg at 2.5 meters, and only 1000kg at 3 meters. This is due to the characteristics of the hydraulic system. To completely solve this problem, it's necessary to increase the power of the pump station and use thicker H-beams.
