What types of fixed scissor lifts are there?
Fixed scissor lifts are classified primarily based on the following factors:
1. Layers of Scissor Lift Tiers
Common fixed scissor lifts have a single-tier scissor lift structure. Their maximum lifting height is approximately 0.6-0.7 times the maximum platform length. For example, a scissor lift with a maximum platform length of 2m has a maximum lifting height of approximately 1.2-1.4m. To increase the lifting height, the number of scissor lift tiers needs to be increased. Each additional tier increases the lifting height by 0.6 times. For example, a fixed scissor lift with a two-tier scissor lift and a maximum length of 2m has a maximum lifting height of 2.4-2.8m.
2. Row of Scissor Lift Tiers
Some fixed scissor lifts have a narrow platform width but a long length. In these cases, two or even three tiers are required for stability. Despite the additional scissor lift tiers, the total lifting height remains the same as a single-tier lift, but the load capacity is doubled.
3. Low-profile scissor lifts
In production workshops, pallets need to be lowered onto fixed scissor lift platforms using a floor jack during pallet transfer. However, conventional lift platforms are too high and have structures on the bottom, making it difficult for the floor jack to accommodate the pallets. Low-profile platforms solve this problem. These platforms typically have a U- or E-shaped structure, with hydraulic cylinders located on the side, making them ideal for floor jacks and forklifts to position the pallets.
4. Roller-type fixed lifts
This type of lift features a roller-type platform, making it easier to move pallets across the platform. The rollers can also be powered, and are primarily used for material transport on assembly lines.
