How to connect a stationary scissor lift platform to an automated control system for platform lifting?
Besides standalone use, stationary scissor lifts can also be connected to automated equipment, using signals from the automated equipment to control the lift's ascent and descent. Below, we'll detail how to modify a stationary scissor lift to allow automated equipment to control its operation.
First, the automated equipment must have sufficient input and output interfaces to facilitate control signal input and output (at least two input signals and two output signals). To prevent voltage inconsistencies between the stationary scissor lift and the automated equipment, relays must be used for electrical signal isolation. Otherwise, the automated equipment's control system may be damaged. Next, disassemble the stationary scissor lift control handle and locate the power cables connecting the up and down buttons. Connect both ends of these power cables to the relays controlling the output signals. When the automated equipment outputs a signal, the relay closes, activating the up or down button, allowing the stationary scissor lift to rise or fall. This completes the modification of the automated equipment's output signal. We will now proceed to modify the input signal. Connect the limit switch of the fixed scissor lift in series with terminals 2 of the relay. When the limit switch closes during the upward or downward movement, the relay closes, outputting an electrical signal. When the control system of the automated equipment receives the signal that the fixed scissor lift has completed its upward or downward movement, it can proceed to the next action. At this point, the linkage operation between the scissor lift and the automated equipment is complete. In most cases, for more accurate detection, the limit switch can be replaced with a magnetic proximity switch, infrared photoelectric switch, etc.
