Operation Precautions
Operators must receive specialized training, be familiar with the machine manual and hold valid certificates. No operation under alcohol, fatigue or without certification.
1. Towing & Transportation
The towing vehicle shall have towing capacity greater than the total machine weight. After connecting to the tow ball, install safety chains, emergency brake cable and tail light plug firmly. Lock the boom fixing latch after fully retracting outriggers and boom.
Drive at reduced speed. Slow down while turning or going downhill. Avoid sudden braking and sharp turns. Check tire pressure, wheel bolts and towing connection regularly during long-distance travel.
Use wheel chocks and engage the trailer handbrake when parking on slopes. Never operate hydraulic lifting system during transit.
Remove all tools and debris from the platform before road transportation to prevent falling hazards.
2. Pre-operation Inspection & Site Preparation
Ground requirement: Work only on firm ground. Do NOT operate on soft soil, backfill or hollow ground. Place support pads under outriggers and level the machine via level gauge. Do not raise boom unless outriggers are fully extended and machine is leveled.
Machine inspection:
Hydraulic system: Proper oil level, no leakage or aged/bulging hoses or cylinders.
Structure: No cracks or deformation on boom, pins and welds; bolts are tightened.
Safety components: Overload alarm, upper/lower limit switches, emergency stop button and manual lowering device function normally. Guardrails and platform gate intact and locked.
Power system: Sufficient battery or fuel; electrical wiring in good condition.
Environment check:
Maintain safe clearance from high-voltage power lines. Never work directly under power lines.
Check overhead obstacles such as tree branches, pipes and buildings. Plan boom slewing & extension path and set warning zone. No personnel under boom.
Wind: Stop aerial work immediately when wind force ≥6, during thunderstorm, heavy fog or heavy rain. Allowable wind speed decreases with working height, follow machine nameplate.
PPE: Operators on platform shall wear safety helmet and full-body harness. Attach harness only to factory-installed anchor points on platform. Do not tie harness to external building structures. Do not stand on guardrails, ladders or stacked materials inside platform.
3. Key Prohibitions During Aerial Operation
No overloading: Total load on platform (personnel + tools + materials) shall not exceed rated capacity. No overcrowding. This machine is for aerial work only. Never use as crane for lifting goods.
Operate smoothly. Avoid jerky control levers. Do not perform multiple composite actions (boom extension + slewing + luffing at the same time) to prevent platform shaking and structural impact.
Check surrounding obstacles and ground personnel before slewing or extending boom. Move slowly in confined space to avoid boom collision with walls or steel structures.
No cutting or welding inside platform. If hot work is mandatory, implement fire protection and grounding. Do not use machine as welding earth.
Stop operation immediately if abnormal noise, oil leakage, shaking or alarm occurs. Lower platform slowly to ground and shut down for inspection. Do NOT continue operation with faulty machine.
Do not lean or push platform against building for positioning. Do not use boom to pull or push external objects.
In case of power/hydraulic failure with personnel aloft: use emergency manual lowering valve to lower platform slowly. Calm occupants before operation and follow manual. Do not disassemble hydraulic components forcibly.
4. Post-work & Stowage
Fully retract boom and lower platform to ground before retracting outriggers. Ensure outriggers fully retracted and locked before towing preparation.
Clear debris from platform, check for collision damage and cut off power supply.
Fill in daily log, record faults, oil leakage or deformation and arrange timely repair.
5. Routine Maintenance & Long-term Storage
Maintain as per manual: lubricate slewing parts and pins; replace hydraulic oil and filter on schedule; inspect tires, seals and structural welds regularly.
Do not remove, shield or modify any safety protection devices (overload, tilt, height limit etc.). Do not alter hydraulic system without authorization.
Repairs must be carried out by qualified technicians. Release pressure and cut power before hydraulic system maintenance.
Low temperature in winter: use low-temperature hydraulic oil. Keep battery warm for long idle period. Cover machine for dust and rain protection when stored outdoors
