Mechanical Structure Issues

1. Loose fixing bolts or pins, causing the main structure to shake and resonate during lifting.
2. Worn or misaligned bearings or bushings, leading to increased friction and intermittent noise.
3. Misaligned guide rails. To save on shipping costs, wheelchair lifts are often packaged in smaller sizes, resulting in cut guide rails that are then reassembled. This can lead to misalignment during installation, causing noticeable jerking and noise during lifting.
4. Damaged rollers on the lift's guide rail back beam, causing hard friction between the back beam and the guide rail, resulting in a very harsh noise.
5. Insufficient lubrication between moving mechanical parts. Lack of lubricant can cause squeaking or screeching sounds.
Hydraulic System Problems
The following hydraulic system problems can cause a sudden increase in noise from the wheelchair lift:
