Selection of stacker battery capacity and calculation of charging power consumption

Jan 05, 2021

Each company has different usage time for pallet stackers. It is more important to choose a battery with an appropriate capacity. Large-capacity batteries take a long time to charge, and small-capacity batteries need to be charged frequently. So how to choose a electric stacker battery with a suitable capacity?
In theory, battery discharge time = battery capacity÷charger kilowatts
For example, battery capacity 48V*450Ah/motor kilowatt (walking motor 8KW + lifting motor 8.6KW=16.6KW)
The battery capacity is equivalent to kWh: 48V*450AH=21600WH/1000=21.6KWH
Theoretical use time=21.6/16.6KW=1.3 hours (continuous walking + continuous lifting, but it will not be used in actual use)
The mast cannot be lifted when the actual vehicle is walking, so based on the original *2=1.3*2=2.6 hours
When the lifting motor is lifted, it will fall, and the time is multiplied by 2=2.6*2=5.2 hours
To sum up, basically 4-5 hours of full-load operation, and if there are not many cars under working conditions, it is enough to charge the battery during lunch break + the remaining power pipe of the morning work and the afternoon work.
If the working conditions have a great demand for electricity, it is basically necessary to equip a spare lead-acid battery to replace or select a lithium battery. The charging speed of the lithium battery is 2-3h and can be fully charged, which is basically ready to use.
