In a double-guide rail freight elevator, the lifting and lowering of the platform is usually controlled by a hydraulic cylinder system. Here's how the system works in detail:
Key Components Involved:
1.Hydraulic Cylinder(s)–the power unit that moves the platform.
2.Oil Pump + Motor–generates hydraulic pressure.
3.Hydraulic Oil Tank–stores oil.
4.Control Valve Group – directs oil to raise or lower the platform.
5.Guide Rails (Double Guide)–ensure vertical stability and alignment of the platform.
6.Steel Chains or Cables (if used)–connect the cylinder stroke to platform movement, if direct pushing is not feasible.
Lifting Process:
1.Start Signal is sent from the control panel.
2.The motor starts the pump, generating high-pressure hydraulic oil.
3.Oil flows into the bottom of the cylinder via the control valve.
4. The cylinder piston extends upward, pushing the platform directly (or via chain/cable if indirect drive).
5. The platform rises along the double guide rails, which stabilize it and prevent swaying.
Lowering Process:
1. The user presses the down button.
2. The control valve opens, allowing hydraulic oil to return to the tank.
3. Gravity pulls the platform downward as the cylinder retracts.
4. Descent is regulated by a speed control valve (or throttle valve) to ensure smooth, safe movement.
Double-Guide Rail Function:
These guide rails are mounted on both sides of the shaft and are fixed to the structure.
They stabilize the platform, prevent tilt, and resist lateral forces during lifting/lowering.
Essential for larger platforms or heavy loads to prevent imbalance or jamming.
