







How the Columns Rise Together:
The rising columns (or telescopic sections) are mechanically connected and synchronized using one or a combination of the following methods:
1. Steel Wire Rope (Cable and Pulley System)
Most common method.
A steel wire rope is wound around pulleys mounted between stages.
When the hydraulic or electric actuator lifts the first stage, the pulleys redirect the motion, causing the upper stages to extend simultaneously.
Ensures smooth, balanced extension of each column.
2. Chain Drive System
Similar to wire rope, but uses chains and sprockets.
Heavier and more durable, used in some high-duty models.
Prevents slipping and allows for precise lifting synchronization.
3. Hydraulic Cylinder (Single or Multi-Stage)
Some models use one central hydraulic cylinder to push the first stage.
Additional stages extend via mechanical linkage or guided rollers.
For taller models, a multi-stage hydraulic cylinder may be used inside the mast, extending in segments.
4. Guide Rails and Rollers
Nylon or steel rollers guide each sliding column.
Keeps the rising sections aligned and prevents shaking.
Located inside the mast, between the telescoping profiles.
