Why are both electric and manual mobile lift tables limited to a load capacity of 1000kg?
The load capacity of a mobile lift table depends primarily on the following factors:
1. Load capacity of the frame
Heavier mobile lift tables have much thicker sheet metal than standard lift tables. While this increased load capacity comes with increased weight, it also increases the user's weight. Since mobile lift tables are manually pulled, this undoubtedly increases the burden on the user, making it prone to situations such as being unable to pull or stop, which can be dangerous.
2. Wheel load limit
Mobile lift tables typically use polyurethane or nylon casters, which don't offer strong support. For example, if a 1000kg load is distributed across four wheels, each wheel must hold a load of 250kg. Combined with the weight of the mobile lift table itself, the load capacity of a single caster would reach over 300kg. This significantly increases the risk of damage to the mobile lift table's casters.
3. User Operation
When a mobile lift table's load capacity reaches 1000kg, combined with its own weight, it can reach 1200kg. This requires significant arm strength to pull the table. Without the assistance of electric wheels, this can be a significant challenge, especially on slopes.
For this reason, we limit the load capacity of mobile lift tables to 1000kg during production to ensure they are suitable for use by an average adult male.
